What & Why

Taking turns means everyone gets a chance to do something, like kick the ball or be the leader. Sharing means we let others use the toys or equipment we are using.We do this because it's fair and makes everyone feel happy and included. A team works best when everyone plays together!

Example 1 — The Rolling Ball Game

This is a great way to practice sharing the fun!Sit in a circle with your friends.One person starts with the ball.They gently roll the ball to a friend across the circle.That friend then rolls it to someone else who hasn't had a turn yet.Keep going until everyone has had a turn to roll the ball!

Example 2 — Building a Tower Together

Teamwork makes the tower taller!Get a big pile of blocks for the group to share.The first person puts one block down to start the tower.The next person in line adds their block.Keep taking turns, one block at a time, to see how high you can build it together.If someone needs a special block, it's kind to share.
