The Question & Answer Pattern
Question: ¿Cómo te llamas? ➡️ Answer: Me llamo [Your Name].
This is the most common way to ask and answer. The question starts with '¿Cómo...?' and the answer starts with 'Me llamo...'.
Starting and Ending a Conversation
Start with ¡Hola! 👋 End with ¡Mucho gusto! 👍
Always be friendly! Start with a hello. After you learn their name, it is very kind to say 'Mucho gusto'.
Spanish Question Marks: ¿...?
Questions in Spanish start with '¿' and end with '?'.
When you see these special marks, you know it's a question! The upside-down one at the start tells your voice to go up.
