Describing Characters: Ser vs. Estar
Use 'ser' for permanent traits (who someone is). Use 'estar' for temporary conditions (how someone feels or where they are).
When you describe a movie character, use 'ser' for their personality or appearance (es valiente, es alto). Use 'estar' to describe their emotions or location in a scene (está triste, está en México).
Expressing Opinions: The Verb 'Gustar'
A mí me gusta(n) + noun / A mí me gusta + verb. The form 'gusta' or 'gustan' depends on what is liked, not who is liking it.
To say you like a movie, use 'A mí me gusta la película'. To say you like the characters, use 'A mí me gustan los personajes'. The 'A mí' part is for emphasis....
