Grammar Rules & Patterns

Regular Verbs Formula Infinitivo + Terminación del Futuro To form the future tense for any regular verb, take the entire infinitive (like 'hablar', 'comer', or 'vivir') and add the correct ending for your subject. The endings are: yo (-é), tú (-ás), él/ella/usted (-á), nosotros/as (-emos), vosotros/as (-éis), ellos/ellas/ustedes (-án). Irregular Verb Stems Raíz Irregular + Terminación del Futuro Some common verbs have a special stem (raíz) in the future. You must memorize this stem, but you still add the same future endings to it. For example: hacer -> har-, poder -> podr-, tener -> tendr-, decir -> dir-, saber -> sabr-.
