Conjugación Regular de Verbos -AR en Pretérito
Raíz + {-é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron}
To conjugate a regular -AR verb in the preterite, remove the -ar ending from the infinitive to find the stem. Then, add the appropriate preterite ending that corresponds to the subject pronoun.
Cambio Ortográfico: Verbos -CAR, -GAR, -ZAR
Only in the 'yo' form: c → qu / g → gu / z → c
To preserve the hard 'k' sound, hard 'g' sound, and 's' sound, verbs ending in -car, -gar, and -zar undergo a spelling change before adding the '-é' ending for the 'yo' form. All other forms are regular.
