Our world is full of tiny, invisible things called germs. We can't see them, but they are on toys, doorknobs, and even our hands!Some germs can make us feel sick if they get inside our bodies. Washing our hands with soap and water is like using a superhero power to wash those germs away so we stay healthy and strong!

Example 1 — Before Eating

It's lunchtime! You are super hungry and can't wait to eat your sandwich. But wait! You just finished building with blocks.Step 1: Go to the sink before you touch your food.Step 2: Follow the 5 steps of handwashing.Step 3: Now that your hands are clean, you can enjoy your yummy lunch without worrying about germs getting on your food.

Example 2 — After Using the Bathroom

You just finished using the toilet and flushed. What's the very next thing you should always do?Step 1: Don't leave the bathroom yet!Step 2: Walk right over to the sink.Step 3: Wash your hands with soap and water to get rid of any germs. Now you're clean and ready to go back to class!
