Key Rules & Conventions

The 'is' Rule Pronoun + is = Pronoun's When you see a pronoun and 'is', take out the 'i'. Put an apostrophe (') in its place. Then, squish them together! The 'are' Rule Pronoun + are = Pronoun're For a pronoun and 'are', take out the 'a'. Put an apostrophe (') where the 'a' was. Now, push them into one word! The 'will' Rule Pronoun + will = Pronoun'll With a pronoun and 'will', take out the 'w' and 'i'. Add an apostrophe (') instead. Then, join them to make a new word!
