Adjective Gender Agreement
Adjective ending must match the noun's gender: -o for masculine, -a for feminine.
When you describe a boy or a man (like padre, hermano, abuelo), the adjective usually ends in -o. When you describe a girl or a woman (like madre, hermana, abuela), the adjective usually ends in -a.
Present Tense of -AR Verbs (él/ella)
Drop the -AR and add -A.
To say what one other person (like 'he' or 'she') does, you take an -AR verb, remove the -AR, and add an -a at the end. For example, 'cocinar' becomes 'cocina'.
