Grammar Rules & Patterns

Present Tense of -AR Verbs To change an -AR verb, remove the -AR and add a new ending: -o (for yo), -as (for tú), -a (for él/ella). Use this rule to talk about what you, a friend, or another person is doing right now. For example, with the verb 'cantar' (to sing): Yo canto, tú cantas, ella canta. Adjective Gender Agreement If a noun is feminine (often ends in -a, like 'pelota'), its adjective should also end in -a. If a noun is masculine (often ends in -o, like 'carro'), its adjective should end in -o. Always check the noun first! This makes your descriptions sound correct. For example: 'la casa blanca' (the white house) but 'el perro blanco' (the white dog). Basic Sentence Structure Subject + Verb + Rest of the sentenc...
